HOTELS AND TRAVEL

Every hotel tells a story. The question is whether your images are telling yours effectively.

As a luxury hotel photographer and Marriott Approved Photographer, I’ve spent over a decade capturing high-end hospitality properties that convert browsers into guests. Every hotel tells a story; the question is whether your images are telling yours effectively.

As a recipient of the 2020 Communication Arts Award of Excellence, my lens has documented some of the world’s most sought-after luxury destinations, from the sun-drenched shores of Tulum to the historic elegance of European estates.

Why Hotel Photography Matters

In today’s digital-first travel landscape, guests book with their eyes. Studies show that 67% of travelers consider image quality more important than reviews when selecting accommodations. Every listing on your OTA channels and every image on brand.com competes for a three-second decision window — photography that doesn’t just show rooms, but sells experiences, is what turns that window into a booking.

The Flambient Difference

Most hotel photography suffers from blown-out windows or harsh, flattening flash. Flambient photography solves this by blending an ambient-light exposure with a flash-lit exposure into one natural-looking image — the technique top hospitality photographers rely on, and the standard Marriott and other major flags require for brand-approved imagery.

Properties I’ve Photographed

As a luxury hotel photographer, my portfolio includes collaborations with distinguished properties across three continents:
· Kimpton Aluna Resort – Tulum, Mexico
· Grace Hotel by Auberge Resorts Collection – Santorini, Greece
· Hotel Casa Anamaria – Catalonia, Spain
· AC Hotel by Marriott – Reston, Virginia
· SpringHill Suites by Marriott – Virginia Beach Oceanfront
· Crystal Cove & Goblin Hill Villas – Jamaica

My Approach

As a luxury hotel photographer, my approach goes beyond documentation. I capture the feeling of being there, not just the square footage. I don’t simply photograph spaces; I capture the feeling of being there. Every project starts with a pre-shoot conversation covering your brand identity, target guest demographic, and competitive positioning, followed by on-site flambient photography, twilight exterior shots where layout allows, and careful post-production color grading. Whether you need hero images for your website, content for OTA listings, or a complete visual rebrand, I deliver photography that resonates with your ideal guest — with final retouched images delivered within 14 days of your gallery selections.

Service Areas

As a luxury hotel photographer based in Northern Virginia, I serve hospitality clients throughout:
· Mid-Atlantic: Virginia, Washington DC, Maryland
· Caribbean: Jamaica, Mexico, Islands
· Europe: Spain, Greece, France, UK

Properties outside these regions: I travel regularly for the right project.
